When are e-bills available for viewing?

Typically a day or so prior to when you would normally receive them in the mail.

You will receive an e-mail reminder if your bills goes unviewed for more than 4 days.

How do I pay my e-bill?

The bill can be paid by selecting the "pay" button. The payment date is automatically populated to
match the due date and the amount on your bill. You may change the
payment date and the amount to be paid by simply highlighting the
appropriate field(s) and over-typing the new information. (note: The
date must be entered using the following format, xx/xx/xxxx).

Yes. However, please make sure to use the correct account number and billing address as it appears on the bill
when you sign-up to receive an e-bill.

From your most recent paper bill. If you are not a current customer, you need to apply for an account with Unitil
by clicking here. You will be issued an account number prior to enrollment in e-bill.

A:
You will receive only one more paper bill after you have enrolled. After that, your bills will be posted on the web site.

What if I have a credit balance?
A:
If you have a credit balance, the "amount due" area of the summary line will show a zero
balance. The exact amount of the credit can be found by looking at the bill detail.

How do I add a second account for an existing biller?
A:
This can be done by clicking on the "Add Payee" icon after you log in. All you need to do is add
the second account number and "continue"

How do I change my account number for one of my e-bills?
A:
It is not possible to edit an existing account number. Therefore, you should select "Add Payee" and
enter the new account number and select "Continue". Then, you should remove the old account information.

How do I remove a Payee?
A:
To remove a single biller, click on "View Payee", select the appropriate payee name and then
select "Delete Payee".

Can I be enrolled in a direct-debit program and still receive an e-bill?
A:
Yes. Just remember to "Mark" the bill as paid.
